Russian Attack on Ukraine with Missiles and Drones
According to FREEДOM: Last night, on August 24, the Russian army launched an attack on Ukraine using a ballistic missile 'Iskander-M' and 72 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones. This was reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian troops launched drones from Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhhtarsk (RF), and the missile was launched from the Taganrog area (RF).
According to information from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the air defense, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian Armed Forces responded to this attack.
'According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down/subdued 48 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type and imitation drones of various types in the north, east, and south of the country,' the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified.
Also recorded were hits by a missile and 24 drones in 10 different locations.
It is worth noting that Russian troops actively shelled Kramatorsk in Donetsk region and conducted nearly 500 strikes on 17 settlements in Zaporizhia region.
