Zaporizhzhia Targeted in Aerial Bombardment
According to UATV: On March 11, Russian forces attacked the city and region of Zaporizhzhia using precision-guided aerial bombs. The strikes resulted in civilian casualties and caused extensive damage to property.
At least five separate strikes were confirmed that day. The attacks injured nine people, one of whom was a child. The bombardment partially destroyed private homes and damaged a multi-story apartment building. This incident underscores the persistent and severe military threat facing the region, which remains a frequent target.
Current Status of the Attack
As of now, the full extent of the destruction and the condition of the injured are still being assessed and investigated.
This assault on Zaporizhzhia is part of the wider, ongoing war in Ukraine, now in its second year. It highlights an intensification of strikes in regions near the front lines and demonstrates the continued peril faced by civilians. Such persistent attacks severely undermine regional security and exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in southern Ukraine.
