Russia inflates its successes on the front: ISW reveals real loss figures.
According to inkorr.com: Russian military leaders are trying to convince Western countries of their successes on the front by spreading inaccurate data. This is confirmed by a report from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which notes that the Kremlin has launched an information campaign to influence the decisions of Western powers.
False statements from Gerasimov: real figures
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov stated in his statement that Russian troops had captured 3500 square kilometers of territory and 149 populated areas. However, ISW's analysis shows that the real figures are much more modest: only 2346 square kilometers and 130 populated areas. It also turned out that Gerasimov significantly exaggerated the achievements of his troops, citing more land and towns.
According to the report, the Russian army has suffered significant losses in the medium and long term, which may undermine its achievements. Tens of thousands of soldiers have died, and the slow advance does not meet modern warfare standards. The Kremlin seeks to create the illusion of inevitable victory by publishing exaggerated data on territorial results, ignoring losses.
The coincidence of these events highlights that the Russian military continues to use disinformation to maintain the morale of its troops and create a positive image on the international stage. However, the real losses and difficulties on the front raise doubts about these declared achievements. The situation on the battlefield remains tense, and Western countries continue to closely monitor developments, analyzing information about the actual state of affairs.
