Russia has changed its tactics on attacks against Ukraine's energy system: what is happening.
Changes in the strategy of Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has shared new details about the changes in Russian attacks on energy facilities and Ukraine's efforts to restore them. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov during the program 'We are Ukraine'.
“This is not the first year we are entering the heating season, and facilities are being shelled. We understand that these attacks are undermining our energy system,” he emphasized.
According to Nekrasov, algorithms created by Ukrainian specialists allow for the rapid restoration of facilities affected by the attacks.
“We understand that the enemy regularly changes its tactics. If two or three years ago they targeted large transmission facilities and attacked them almost simultaneously, now they operate from region to region,” explained the deputy minister.
He also emphasized the importance of mobilizing all available resources for the prompt restoration of energy infrastructure: “Our goal is to involve all possible resources from local administrations, the State Emergency Service, analytical companies, and our emergency teams for the fastest possible restoration of all damaged facilities. This is the current situation.”
Current information on the situation with energy facilities
As a result of a nighttime drone attack on energy facilities, some consumers in the Odessa region were left without electricity. Rescue operations began immediately once it was safe.
The head of the Coordination Center for Energy Security, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported that electricity supply was completely restored in Kyiv region after a large-scale attack by invaders on October 10. However, residents of Sofiivska Borshchahivka have been suffering from a lack of water and electricity for the second day, which has led to protests and roadblocks.
This situation illustrates the constant pressure faced by Ukraine's energy infrastructure, as well as the need for swift responses to emergencies. Restoring energy supply is a priority for the Ukrainian authorities, who are trying to support the population in difficult conditions. Protests in Sofiivska Borshchahivka indicate that the difficulties caused by the attacks directly affect the quality of life of people, requiring special attention from the country’s leadership.
