Russia has changed its tactics for attacks on Kyiv: drones are now flying at low altitudes.
According to ТСН: Russian troops have changed their strategy for attacking Kyiv, using drones that move at low altitudes. This complicates their detection by air defense systems and increases the danger for the civilian population.
Expert Comment
Gennady Khazan, president of the All-Ukrainian Aviation Organization 'Association of Private Pilots and Aircraft Owners', noted:
“In Kyiv, we observed shahed attacks at low altitudes, which led to one of the drones colliding with high-voltage wires. Unfortunately, there was also a direct hit on a residential building where people lived closely together. There are casualties.”
The expert emphasized that drone flights at low altitude make them less visible to radars and air defense systems, but significantly increase risks for civilians.
Dangerous Trends
It should be noted that the attack on Kyiv on December 27 demonstrates a worrying trend: Russia has not only intensified the production of strike drones but also significantly increased the number of personnel for their maintenance.
This new strategy creates serious challenges for the defense system, as well as for the safety of the civilian population. Experts are calling for urgent responses and improvements to defense mechanisms to ensure the protection of people in areas subjected to attacks.
