From the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, Russian occupiers plan to export over 300 tons of sunflowers, which they bought from local farmers at reduced prices. This is reported by the National Resistance Center.

«The Russians intend to export over 300 tons of sunflowers from the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. This harvest was purchased by the occupiers from local farmers at low prices for further export to Russia, and then – to African countries», – the report states.

It is noted that the pseudo-ministry of agriculture of the so-called LPR is counting on cooperation with African countries.

This scheme on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine has been actively functioning since the beginning of the occupation. Russian occupation administrations put farmers in tough conditions, forcing them to sell their harvest to a designated company at a fixed price», - emphasized the Center.

It is emphasized that the removal of the harvest by the occupiers is not only an economic crime against Ukraine but also part of a broader strategy aimed at undermining the economic stability of the region and strengthening their own position in the world through the trade of stolen Ukrainian grain.

Ukrainian farmers have already harvested almost 63.7 million tons of new grain and oilseed crops from an area of 18.1 million hectares. The total harvest volume is 45.1 million tons of grains and 18.6 million tons of oilseeds. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Recall that earlier in the Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasted that this year's gross production of grain and oilseed crops will be about 74 million tons, of which about 52.4 million tons are grains and 21.7 million tons are oilseeds.

In India, the best monsoon season since 2020 has recently ended, creating favorable conditions for abundant harvests of rice, soy, and legumes. Bloomberg wrote about this.
