Russians Modernized 'Shaheds': How Iranian 'Mopeds' Are Different Now.
Russian military improved Shahed-type drones and made them faster and more accurate. This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The report quotes a military official from the Air Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who notes that previously Russian Shahed drones were slow, unable to maneuver, and capable of flying only at low altitude. However, over time, the military improved these drones, allowing them to fly faster and higher.
At the same time, Ukrainian military groups also improved their equipment and tactics, enabling them to successfully destroy enemy drones.
Recall, earlier the Defense Forces destroyed a Russian Shahed-136, which was equipped with Starlink satellite communication from SpaceX.
Also, on the territory of Romania, opposite the Ukrainian city of Izmail, debris from a Shahed strike drone was again found.
It should be noted that on October 9, the Defense Forces attacked a Shahed storage base near the settlement of Oktyabrsky in the Krasnodar region.
