Attack on the energy workers' vehicle in Bilopillia
According to inkorr.com: On October 8, Russian terrorists attacked the vehicle of energy workers in Bilopillia, located in the Sumy region. This was reported by 'Glavcom' referencing 'Sumyoblenergo'.
At the time of the attack, there was no one in the vehicle, so there were no casualties. The crew that was in the car was preparing to go out to repair the power grid.
Our people go to dangerous places every day to restore electricity to Ukrainians. But the war affects not only the networks but also those who restore them. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 31 service vehicles of 'Sumyoblenergo' have been affected by shelling. Nine of them are beyond repair.
Moreover, the Ministry of Energy warns that prolonged power outages may occur in Ukraine if Russian attacks on energy infrastructure continue. However, the ministry currently considers introducing such a regime premature.
Thus, Ukrainian energy workers face serious risks daily in their efforts to provide electricity to the population. Attacks on infrastructure can lead to significant problems with energy supply.
