Russian Forces Strike Sumy Region

According to Novyny.live: On March 4, Russian occupying forces attacked the Sumy region, killing a 48-year-old man in the Esman community. In the Sumy city community, a 37-year-old man was wounded. A total of 60 shelling incidents were recorded across three districts of the region: Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop. These border areas have faced persistent attacks since the full-scale invasion began.

The shelling destroyed one vehicle and damaged two others. It also damaged window frames in an apartment building and an auto shop in the Kovpakivskyi district. This assault was part of a broader series of aggressive actions, as Russian forces also attempted to attack the city of Dnipro with strike drones during the night of March 3-4.

Strikes on Energy Infrastructure

Prior to this, on March 3, the enemy struck energy infrastructure facilities in several Ukrainian regions. During the night of March 2-3, the invaders attacked Ukraine with 136 drones. These events highlight the continued escalation of the conflict and the ongoing threat to civilians in targeted regions.

The attacks on the Sumy region and other parts of Ukraine demonstrate Russia's sustained aggression, underscoring the grave situation for civilians in conflict zones. Strikes on energy infrastructure, in particular, indicate attempts by the adversary to destabilize the country by damaging critical facilities. Amid ongoing hostilities and constant threats, Ukrainian communities continue to face severe challenges related to security and humanitarian needs.
