Russians shelled a railway in the Sumy region: an employee was injured.
In the Sumy region, as a result of Russian shelling, a railway worker was injured. The woman was hospitalized with injuries. This was reported by the joint-stock company "Ukrzaliznytsia" on Telegram.
The company stated that on October 6, a railway crossing was affected due to the shelling.
"The railway worker with a shoulder injury was taken to the hospital, where she received all the necessary assistance," said "UZ".
The company also reported that the Russian strikes damaged the railway infrastructure in the Sumy region, including power supply elements and the track.
It is worth noting that railway infrastructure objects often become targets for enemy shelling. "UZ" employees also become victims of Russian attacks.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, at the proposal of the supervisory board of "Ukrzaliznytsia," appointed Oleksandr Pertsovskyi as the chairman of the board of the company for three years.
Previously, "Ukrzaliznytsia" suspended the sale of all tickets - both at ticket offices and online.
By the way, Slovakia confirmed its readiness to launch a new train on the Kyiv-Bratislava route, which will start operating this year.
