Russians advanced near Kurakhove, Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked in Kursk region – ISW maps.
Ukrainian and Russian forces continue to conduct limited offensive operations in various areas of Ukraine. In particular, Ukrainian forces slightly advanced north of Kurakhove, while Russians moved south along Novoselivka street. Geolocation footage shows that such advances are also taking place in Russia's Kursk region. In other areas, the frontline remains unchanged. This was reported by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
UAF battles in Kursk region
Ukrainian and Russian forces are slightly advancing from Sudzha to the northwest. Russian forces are also advancing in another part of the region, in northern Pogreby. As of November 2, no sources reported ground attacks in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region.
Kharkiv region
Russian forces are conducting limited offensive operations in the Vovchansk and Hlybokyi districts, but are not advancing forward.
Luhansk region
Russian forces' offensive operations continue along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, but with no success.
Russian forces conduct ground attacks:
- northeast of Kupyansk in the Petropavlivka area;
- east of Kupyansk in the Pishchane area;
- southeast of Kupyansk in the Kruhliakivka, Kolesnykivka, Zahrizovo, and Lozova areas;
- northwest of Kreminna in the Druzheliubivka, Makiivka, Katerynivka, Hrekiivka, Terny, and Yampilivka areas;
- west of Kreminna near Torske;
- south of Kreminna in the Serebrianka forestry area.
Donetsk region
Russian forces continue their push in the Sieversk direction, but without success.
Also, Russian forces continue their offensive in the Chasiv Yar area, but the frontline remains unchanged.
It is reported that Russian forces broke through southeast of Pokrovsk.
Russian military bloggers claim that the occupiers advanced west of Selydove towards Novooleksiyivka and reached the outskirts of Hryhorivka, but this information is not confirmed.
Russian forces also slightly advanced north of Kurakhove, but there is no confirmation of this.
Russian forces' offensive operations continue in the Vuhledar direction, but with no changes to the frontline.
Russian forces are advancing:
- northwest of Vuhledar in the Yasna Polyana, Shakhtarske, and Maksymivka areas;
- north of Vuhledar in the Trudove area and towards Uspenivka;
- and northeast of Vuhledar in the Kostiantynivka, Antonivka, and Katerynivka areas.
Southern direction
Fighting continues in western Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the Nesterianka area.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces are advancing towards the Dnipro, possibly referring to the eastern bank of the Kherson region and islands in the Dnipro river delta.
A well-known Russian Telegram user, claiming to be an employee of a certain Russian special forces unit, stated that Ukrainian military wounded and killed soldiers of the 104th Airborne Regiment (76th Air Assault Division) during a HIMARS strike near Skadovsk, Kherson region.
In the last day, one missile and 56 airstrikes were carried out, one guided missile and 81 KABs were used. Russian forces also deployed 437 kamikaze drones and conducted over 3,000 shellings against Ukrainian forces' positions and settlements.
