Russian shelling of Nikopol: a woman killed, man in serious condition.
A terrible tragedy occurred in Nikopol due to shelling from Russian artillery. A 56-year-old woman was killed, and her body was retrieved from the rubble of a destroyed house. Another local resident sustained serious injuries and is in the hospital.
Nikopol shelling: deceased woman and injured man
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak, a local resident born in 1968 died during the enemy shelling of Nikopol. Her home was destroyed by a direct hit from an artillery shell, and rescuers had to retrieve her body from the debris.
The Russians killed a 56-year-old woman. Rescuers retrieved her body from the ruins of the house that was destroyed by enemy artillery.
A 62-year-old man was injured during the attack. He was hospitalized in serious condition, where doctors are fighting for his life.
The shelling also damaged several private houses and outbuildings. The local authorities are already providing assistance to the residents of the affected homes and assessing the damage.
Let us remind you that in early August, Russian troops launched an attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region using drones. Although the Ukrainian air defense shot down 33 enemy drones, this did not spare the region from the serious consequences of artillery shelling.
It was previously reported that on the evening of August 6, during an artillery attack in Nikopol, three people were killed, including a rescuer. Another four were injured, among them three State Emergency Service workers.
