Vilmiansk Targeted in Drone Attack
According to Novyny.live: A Russian drone strike on Vilmiansk in the Zaporizhzhia region has resulted in the deaths of a married couple. The attack, which occurred overnight on February 6, 2026, killed a 49-year-old man and his 48-year-old wife. This region has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.
Earlier on the evening of February 5, the Zaporizhzhia region also came under fire. As a result of the aggressor's actions, a 14-year-old teenager was injured. Furthermore, the attacks left 12,000 subscribers without electricity. This information was reported by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

These events underscore a sharp escalation in the region, where the civilian population continues to bear the severe consequences of military actions. Throughout the ongoing multi-year conflict, Vilmiansk and other settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast have repeatedly become targets for attacks, raising deep concern among local residents and the international community.
