The Russians carried out an air strike today on energy facilities of the critical infrastructure in the Romensky district of the Sumy region. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

According to the OVA, at night and in the morning, the Russians carried out 37 shellings of border areas and settlements in the Sumy region, resulting in 48 explosions.

Among the affected communities:

  • Yunakivska community: artillery shelling with four explosions, use of FPV-drones (two explosions);
  • Bilopilska community: shelling by FPV-drones (two explosions), mortar shelling (five explosions);
  • Khotynska community: artillery strike as a result of shelling using UAV "Gerań-2" (CAU) (five explosions), which led to a fire in a residential building;
  • Esman community: shelling by FPV-drone (one explosion);
  • Myropilska community: airstrike (CAB) (two explosions);
  • Sumy community: shelling by UAV "Gerań-2" (one explosion), which led to one person being injured;
  • Richkivska community: shelling by UAV "Gerań-2" (one explosion), which led to damage to a private residential building;
  • Yampil community: airstrike (CAB) (one explosion), which led to a fire in a residential building;
  • Shalyhynska community: dropping of explosive devices from UAV (two explosions).
«The enemy carried out an air strike on energy facilities of critical infrastructure in the Romensky district, using UAVs of the "Shahed" type. All necessary services are working at the scene. The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified», the OVA reports.

During the hostilities, 3 Russian drones were destroyed.

Also, after the attack of enemy UAVs in Sumy, the electricity went out.

Let's recall, earlier, on October 21, Russian invaders struck critical infrastructure in the Romensky district of the Sumy region, resulting in several settlements losing power.

On October 20, Russia attacked one of the energy facilities in the Sumy region. As a result, power supply was cut off in 103 settlements of Romenshchyna. Additionally, as a result of Russian military aggression on the border areas of the Sumy region, more than 14,000 electricity consumers in 130 settlements were left without power.
