Russians claimed the capture of a village in Sumy region: local authorities explained the situation.
Information about Ukraine's control over the settlement of Yunakivka in Sumy region
Information that Russian troops gained control over the settlement of Yunakivka in Sumy region, circulated by pro-Kremlin resources, is not true. This was announced by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleg Grygorov, noting that Yunakivka remains under Ukraine's control.
«I have constant communication with the military, I understand the line of combat engagement and information about possible enemy advances. The information about the capture of Yunakivka is unreliable. Yunakivka is controlled by Ukraine»
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are successfully holding the line and repelling enemy attacks, however, the situation in border communities remains tense. Russian troops continue to attack the Yunakivka community, while new shellings threaten the safety of civilians.
The head of the Sumy OVA urged residents of the region to obtain information only from official sources and promised to promptly inform about any changes in security. The activation of Russian assault actions in Sumy region confirms the unstable situation in eastern Ukraine.
