Russians entered Toretsk, fighting is ongoing for every entrance – AFU.

Russia is capturing the city of Toretsk, fierce battles continue

The representative of OTU "Luhansk" Anastasia Bobovnikova reported that the Russians managed to penetrate the city of Toretsk. The situation there is extremely difficult, battles are being fought for every building and even for every entrance.

Bobovnikova noted that it is currently difficult to determine what part of the city the enemy controls, since during the battles, Ukrainian defense forces repel attacks and regain lost positions.

Russian troops are attacking Toretsk with the aim of advancing to the western outskirts of the city, according to the news. Fighting is happening for every entrance of the buildings. Russians are using artillery shelling and then attempting to break through with small infantry groups. Street fighting is ongoing around the clock.

Settlements around Toretsk have also come under shelling. Ukrainian soldiers are showing tremendous resistance and are holding back further attacks.

Let us recall, that earlier, military analyst of Bild Julian Röpke claimed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine might get trapped near Toretsk, which is in the Donetsk region.

Russian troops are attempting to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Toretsk, conducting regular assaults. However, the professional army of the occupiers is almost completely destroyed.
