According to Novyny.live: On February 9, Russian drones struck the town of Shakhtarske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring nine people, including a 13-year-old girl. This assault is part of a broader escalation of hostilities in eastern Ukraine. Among the wounded is a 57-year-old woman who is reported to be in serious condition.
Extensive Damage from the Assault
The attack caused significant destruction, damaging three private homes within the Vasylkivska community. According to Oleksandr Ganzha, the strike also ignited a fire in a three-story building, severely damaging its roof and internal floors.
Further strikes were recorded in other areas of the region, specifically targeting the Marhanetska and Chervonohryhorivska communities in the Nikopol district. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from these additional incidents. These events underscore the persistent threat to civilian areas from ongoing aggression.
The assault on Shakhtarske and the related attacks highlight an intensification of military activity in the region, with severe consequences for local residents. There is growing concern over the increasing frequency of strikes on civilian infrastructure, emphasizing the urgent need for humanitarian aid and support for the affected communities.
