Russian Drones Strike Ternopil Region: Industrial Facility Hit and Fire Reported.
Attacks on Ternopil Oblast on April 1
According to Novyny.live: On April 1, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Ternopil region. One of the unmanned aerial vehicles struck an industrial facility in the Chortkiv district, sparking a fire. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
Monitoring channels indicate that at least 80 drones were active in Ukrainian airspace during the assault. Simultaneously, explosions were recorded in several other western Ukrainian regions, including:
- Chernivtsi Oblast
- Bukovel
- Burshtyn
- Snyatyn
In Zakarpattia, the enemy damaged an electrical substation, leaving part of a settlement without power.
Tragically, four people lost their lives in Cherkasy Oblast after a Russian drone crashed. In Lutsk, a drone targeted both an enterprise and a residential building, but authorities report no injuries there.
The Zalishchyky City Council urged residents to remain cautious: 'It is strictly forbidden to film or share information about strikes on social media! We call on community members not to ignore air raid sirens and to stay in shelters until the all-clear is given.'
This latest wave of attacks underscores the ongoing threat Russian forces pose to Ukraine's western regions, which were previously considered relatively safer.
