Russian missile carriers have disappeared from the Black Sea: what it means for Ukraine.
Russian missile carriers, which once troubled the waters of the Black Sea, are now remaining on shore. This change may indicate a recognition of enemy tactics or simply a technical pause.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during the national telemarathon 'We are Ukraine.'
Missile carriers on pause
According to Pletenchuk, the situation in the waters of the Black Sea is currently quite calm, especially in the context of the absence of actions by Russian missile carriers. He noted that no enemy ship had gone to sea for a day.
'Currently, there are no reports of actions by sea carriers. They have not been detected. At least not in the morning and during the day', he reported.
According to the spokesperson, only one Russian ship had tentatively gone to sea, possibly for deployment. There had previously been cases of ships going out, possibly for mine-clearing activities.
'Currently, there are no significant changes. Stay tuned for fresh information. If there is news, we will inform you', Pletenchuk added.
Russians remain in Novorossiysk
Pletenchuk emphasized that the situation at sea remains stable. He stated that the Russians are currently forced to keep their fleet in Novorossiysk due to the constant threat from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
'We made them collectively move to Novorossiysk', the Navy spokesperson added.
