Russian Troops Disguise Military Vehicles as Civilian Transport in Kherson Region.
How Russian Forces Are Camouflaging Their Equipment
According to Espreso.tv: In Ukraine’s Kherson region, Russian military units are taking steps to make their vehicles look like ordinary civilian transport. They are repainting military trucks and cars in blue, white, and red—colors commonly associated with non-military vehicles—to conceal their true purpose. Troops are also searching for old Ukrainian and Russian license plates to add to the disguise and make the deception more convincing.
Occupation Authorities’ Broader Strategy
These efforts are part of a wider plan by the occupation authorities. Since June 6, they have restricted bus services and private car travel on key routes linking Rostov-on-Don with Simferopol and Belgorod with Mariupol. In the past, Russian forces have also used public buses and civilian cars to move personnel and equipment. These measures show that Moscow's military is trying to lower the risk of detection during operations in the area.
The disguising of military hardware as civilian vehicles highlights the growing tension in the region, where occupying forces are working hard to avoid exposing their movements. Such tactics may signal an escalation of military activity and pose increased dangers for local civilians. In a war zone, this kind of strategy can seriously threaten the safety of both soldiers and ordinary residents.
