Russia's Summer Offensive Failed: Bild Expert Explained the Reasons for the Defeat.
According to inkorr.com: Military expert of the German publication Bild Julian Ropke believes that the Russian offensive in Ukraine during the summer was unsuccessful. Moscow's attempts to capture various cities and create a 'security belt' failed. During the attack on Pokrovsk, Russian troops suffered defeat, and in other directions, they also could not achieve the desired results.
In the northern direction, the plan for the 'security belt' also failed - the occupiers managed to take control of less than 70 km of territory.
According to Julian Ropke, Russian troops were able to capture only a minor part of Ukrainian territory. Instead, Ukraine is actively using drones to attack Russian oil refineries, which has caused serious problems for the Russian economy. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed readiness for negotiations on a ceasefire, but categorically rejected the possibility of capitulation.
Assessment of the Summer Offensive
Experts note that the summer offensive of Russian troops in Ukraine did not achieve a significant part of its goals. The Ukrainian side actively counterattacked and used drones, causing serious damage to the Russian energy infrastructure. President Zelensky continues to support Ukraine's independence and expresses readiness for a ceasefire, but firmly rejects any talks of capitulation.
The summer offensive of Russia confirms Ukraine's resilience and determination in the struggle for independence. The situation will remain tense, but Ukraine's active military activity demonstrates its ability to withstand aggression. Further steps by the parties could significantly impact the development of events in the region.
