Zelensky's Talk with Trudeau: Ukraine to Receive NASAMS Air Defense System from Canada by the End of the Year.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, during which they discussed a number of important issues of bilateral cooperation and international security.
"Grateful to Justin Trudeau, his team, and everyone involved for the successfully held thematic conference under the fourth point of the Peace Formula «Release of Prisoners and Deported Persons», which took place in Montreal on October 30-31," noted Zelensky.
According to the President, the Ukrainian delegation presented the Victory Plan to the Canadian Prime Minister, which received support. The next step will be the preparation of the final document – the Peace Plan – based on the results of all thematic conferences.
"We expect to receive it by the end of the current year," emphasized the Ukrainian leader regarding the first NASAMS air defense system ordered by Canada for Ukraine.
During the conversation, issues of further defense support for Ukraine, the situation on the battlefield, and particularly North Korea's involvement in the war were also discussed. Separately, the parties coordinated cooperation within the framework of Canada's chairmanship in the G7 next year.
