Expansion of the combat operations zone in the Kupiansk direction: authorities addressed the local population.

The zone of active combat operations in the Kupiansk direction is expanding, so residents of communities subjected to shelling are better off evacuating. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleh Syniehubov.

«There was information that Russian military personnel are entering a certain settlement, for example, Hlushkivka. But the next day the enemy was completely destroyed», - replied Syniehubov.

Syniehubov noted that last week the OVA submitted a request to recognize several settlements in the Kupiansk region as a zone of active combat operations.

«We clearly assert that the zone of active combat operations is expanding. We have submitted the relevant documents to change the status of several settlements, including Kupiansk, from a zone of potential combat operations to a zone of active combat operations. We are now awaiting the decision of the relevant ministries», - he said.

He also added that this decision is expected «very soon». The status of a combat zone will mean the evacuation of social, administrative, banking, and other service providers from these territories.

«This is a signal for people that they need to leave», - said Syniehubov.

According to him, there are no children left in Kupiansk, and from the Kindrashivska and Kurylivska communities, 36 minors need to be evacuated.

The units of the Main Intelligence Directorate «Artan», Kraken, and the International Legion conducted a comprehensive operation to liberate the forest area near the settlement of Lyptsi in the Kharkiv region. The result of the operation was the capture of an enemy defense battalion area, the destruction of three motorized rifle battalions, the «storm» detachment, and the reconnaissance company of the seventh separate motorized rifle regiment of the 11th army corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
