RYANAIR will open a new European base in Tirana Airport in Albania starting April 2026, launching 10 new routes, including flights from Birmingham. In addition, other routes will include Dublin, Verona, Malta, and Milan. An increase in the number of flights from London, which are already operating, is also planned.Overall, the new additions will mean 450 flights weekly on 33 routes. There are also plans to add three more aircraft to Tirana, increasing their number to six, and to carry over five million passengers annually. Michael O'Leary from Ryanair stressed that Ryanair is the only truly low-cost airline operating in Albania.The Chief Operating Officer of Tirana Airport, Mr. Piervittorio Farabbi, added: 'Since starting operations in Albania in November 2023, the Ryanair team came with the motto 'Revolution of Low Fares' in Albania. Starting from next summer season, there will be many more opportunities to explore the world from Tirana and reveal tourist Albania to more countries.New routes will launch in October for just £19.99.
