Among those detained is a 47-year-old member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who was recruited by the Russian Federation, and a 29-year-old accomplice from Kyiv. Attack Details
The SBU's Main Directorate of Internal Security stated it had 'detained two Russian agents within a day of the attack, which they carried out on a central Kyiv street on February 11 of this year.'
To execute the bombing, 'the car sellers installed oxygen and gas cylinders inside the vehicle's cabin and set up a webcam with remote access, which was later used by Russian special services operatives.'
This arrest is further evidence of Russian intelligence activity on Ukrainian soil and their attempts to destabilize the country. The Security Service of Ukraine continues its work to identify and neutralize threats related to terrorist acts and espionage. The investigation into this case may lead to further arrests and the exposure of new operational schemes used by Russian agents in Ukraine.
