Investigation into Andriy Parubiy's Assassination

According to TSN.ua: The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has concluded its investigation into the murder of former Verkhovna Rada speaker Andriy Parubiy and has forwarded an indictment to the court. Parubiy was killed in Lviv on August 30, 2023. The suspect, a 53-year-old resident of Lviv, was detained in the Khmelnytskyi region in September 2025.

The investigation revealed the suspect had publicly called for the overthrow of Ukraine's constitutional order and the physical elimination of Ukrainian government officials. He was also found to be in possession of a sawn-off hunting rifle, which was hidden at the Lychakiv Cemetery. The accused, a former businessman who used the alias 'Alexander Pushkin,' is alleged to have been working for Russian intelligence services.
