The crimes were committed over several years: one student was abused from April to June 2024, and the other from 2017 to 2018. The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Julie's admission of guilt on August 29, 2025, before Judge Jill G. O'Malley.

Under the plea agreement, Rizzitello is expected to face a 10-year prison sentence. The court hearing is scheduled for January 9, 2026. In addition to prison time, she will have to register as a sex offender and remain under lifetime probation supervision.
