Sibiga named conditions for a new round of negotiations with the Russian Federation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is ready for negotiations with Russia
Andriy Sibiga, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, stated that Kyiv is prepared to engage in constructive negotiations with Russia aimed at achieving peace. He expressed a desire for a meeting at the presidential level to define solutions and address issues.
We see that the recent meetings in Istanbul were mainly held to discuss a potential exchange, - emphasized Sibiga.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs supported the US initiative to end the war and achieve a just peace by the end of the year. At the same time, he highlighted the necessity of a ceasefire and achieving a truce, as the conflict in eastern Ukraine brings suffering to the local population.
Unfortunately, we observe complete inadequacy on the part of the Russian side... They demand our capitulation, - sharply criticized the Russian position Sibiga.
Creating favorable conditions for negotiations
The Minister of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to strengthen sanctions against Russia and hopes for new decisions to be made at the G7 summit, which will be held in June in Canada. During the meeting in Istanbul, he expressed support for resolving the conflict in Donbas at the presidential negotiations and underscored the importance of ceasing military actions.
After Andriy Sibiga's meeting in Istanbul, it became clear that Ukraine is actively seeking opportunities for peace and is ready for constructive negotiations with Russia, as well as supports the initiatives of international partners to end the war in the east of the country.Read also
