Sikorski responded to Zelensky's claims about insufficient help from Poland.
The Polish government proposed a "defensive loan" to Ukraine for the purchase of weapons.
This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in an interview with Polsat News.
He emphasized that such an offer could have been made right from the start of the conflict.
"This could have been done from the beginning: please, buy on credit from Polish factories, and when you rebuild, you will return," Sikorski stated.
The minister also noted that Poland is a frontline country in this war, with Russia and Ukraine as neighbors, and the only one among EU and NATO countries.
"Ukraine understands that we also need to restrain Putin," the Polish Foreign Minister stated.
Sikorski stressed that Poland has its own defense needs, and his duty as a minister of the Polish government is to keep this war as far from its borders as possible.
However, he noted that Poland will not shoot down Russian missiles over Ukraine without NATO's approval.
"Poland will make decisions together with NATO. It has not been decided yet," added the Polish Foreign Minister.
Previously, President Zelensky noted the unpleasant refusal of Poland, which contradicts previously concluded agreements with NATO.
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects that NATO will allow shooting down Russian missiles over Ukraine.
