Unmanned Systems Operation

According to UATV: On May 30, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces launched an attack on training grounds and a military camp belonging to Russia’s 3rd and 36th armies, including the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade—the unit that operated in Bucha in 2022. The operation resulted in 21 confirmed hits, with 13 and 8 strikes recorded against different targets, respectively.

The Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces coordinated the operation. Strikes were carried out at depths of 70 and 100 kilometers from the front line, demonstrating the high effectiveness and precision of Ukrainian military actions. According to Commander Robert 'Madyar' Brovda of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the attack inflicted significant losses on the enemy.

Casualties and Damage

Losses suffered by the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade include:

  • 31 personnel, of which:
    • 9 were killed
    • 9 were wounded
    • 13 are missing in action

Casualties at the 'Trekhizbenka' training ground remain unknown. Damaged facilities include a gas storage site, the settlement of Yenakiieve, and enemy logistics infrastructure in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Additionally, on the night of May 29, a separate attack targeted a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system, underscoring the sustained Ukrainian effort to destroy enemy military assets. These actions reflect the continued determination of Ukrainian forces in countering aggression.

The front-line situation remains tense, with a focus on leveraging drone technology for precision strikes against enemy positions. By degrading key military resources, Ukrainian forces aim to reduce the combat effectiveness of Russian units, potentially shifting the conflict’s trajectory. This also highlights Ukraine’s adaptation to modern warfare, a factor that could prove critical in future operations.
