Drones attacked Russian enterprises in the Krasnodar region
The Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that last night drones attacked the Ilsky oil refinery and the oil pumping station 'Kropotkinskaya' in the Krasnodar region.
In the area of the Ilsky oil refinery, there were at least 20 explosions that caused a fire. This refinery has six technological units with a total capacity of 6.6 million tons per year. Already in February last year, SBU drones attacked this refinery, causing damages of 50 million dollars.
We have the full legal right to attack oil refineries and oil pumping stations of the Russian Federation. They not only serve the defense of Russia and provide fuel to enemy troops, but also play an important role in their economy, which is funded by oil super profits. Therefore, our attacks on these facilities will continue, - said a military source in the Security Service of Ukraine.
The oil pumping station 'Kropotkinskaya' also became a target of the attack. It is the largest oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium in Russia. As a result of the attack, the station was damaged and oil is now being pumped through a different route, bypassing the Kropotkinskaya station.
On February 17, residents of the Krasnodar region heard explosions. Russian media reported that one of the targets of the attack was the Ilsky oil refinery. It was also reported that the oil pumping station 'Kropotkinskaya' was damaged as a result of the drone attack.
