The Defense Forces struck again at Engels: fuel for Tu-160 destroyed.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine have once again attacked the Russian military airfield 'Engels-2', where Tu-95MS and Tu-160 aircraft of the 22nd Bomber Aviation Regiment are stationed. This was reported by the 14th Separate UAV Regiment.
«As a result of the strike, a fire of tanks with rare aviation fuel for the Tu-160 bombers, which Russia uses to terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine, occurred again at the 'Crystal' oil depot,» the message states.
The Defense Forces note that a complex operation to reduce the capabilities of the enemy's strategic aviation was successfully completed.
It is reminded that on the night of January 14, a strong fire occurred at the oil product base in Engels, Saratov region. The city was again attacked by unidentified drones.
Earlier, the oil product base in Engels caught fire again after a drone attack on the night of January 8. At that time, local residents complained about the smog in the city, but the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing stated that there was no pollution.
