UAF Strikes Missile Parts Plant in Chuvashia: What Was Destroyed.
According to ТСН: The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a defense industry enterprise of Russia on Wednesday - the 'VNIIR-Progress' plant in Cheboksary (Chuvashia), which specializes in the production of navigation equipment and components for cruise and ballistic missiles. Military equipment, warehouses, and personnel of the Russian Federation in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were also targeted.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the strike, a fire broke out at the plant. Details regarding the extent of the damage are currently being clarified.
'VNIIR-Progress' specializes in the production of GNSS receivers and antennas for GLONASS, GPS, and Galileo systems, including 'Kometa' modules. Such equipment is used in Shahed kamikaze drones, missiles of the 'Iskander-M' and 'Kalibr' systems, as well as in guided aerial bombs with UMPK modules.
'The degree of damage is being clarified,' the Armed Forces General Staff added.
Actions of Ukrainian Drones
Ukrainian drones have also:
struck the command post of one of the units of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in the Vasylivka area on temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia;
destroyed the 'Tor-M1' air defense system in Mariupol;
eliminated brigade-level ammunition depots in Ocheretyn and Kamyanka in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk;
hit a location where enemy personnel were concentrated in the Pokrovske direction.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue systematically to destroy Russia's military potential, delivering strikes on equipment, weapons, and personnel of the occupiers.
It was previously reported that residents of Russian Chuvashia were uneasy at night due to attacks by unknown drones on Cheboksary.
According to the open-source intelligence analysis by ASTRA, the 'VNIIR-Progress' plant located at Yakovleva St., 4 was attacked.
It is known that this site has been targeted multiple times before. The previous strike was recorded on July 5, and on June 9, the plant even halted operations after a UAV attack.
Thus, the attack on the 'VNIIR-Progress' plant underscores the constant pressure of Ukrainian forces on Russia's military infrastructure. Continuing such actions may significantly affect the enemy's capabilities, amplifying disruptions in supply chains and weapon production.
