Ukraine Strikes Sanctioned Tanker FINA A and Damages Two Bridges in Night Assault.
Strikes on Enemy Infrastructure
According to UATV: During the night of June 17, 2023, Ukrainian defense forces successfully hit the tanker FINA A, a vessel currently under sanctions by the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Measuring over 244 meters in length, the tanker represents a substantial target in the ongoing campaign against Russian-linked assets.
In addition to the tanker strike, two road bridges were damaged. One of these bridges spans the North Crimean Canal in the Kherson region, while the other is located near the village of Voinka in Crimea. These attacks are likely to disrupt logistics and troop movements across occupied territories.
Escalation of Combat Operations
Further strikes targeted drone control centers in the occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, as well as in Russia's Kursk region. These actions indicate a sustained Ukrainian effort to degrade enemy infrastructure and maintain pressure on Russian forces.
The latest operations underscore Ukraine's intensifying military campaign, aimed at weakening Russian resources in occupied zones. By destroying key assets like the tanker and bridges, Ukraine can significantly hinder the occupiers' logistics and supply chains. Simultaneously, attacks on drone command posts reflect a strategic push to dismantle the technological backbone of the enemy's modern warfare capabilities.
