Russia's Logistics Vulnerabilities Exposed in Crimea

According to UATV: Ukrainian defense forces have identified critical weaknesses in Russia's supply network within occupied Crimea, specifically targeting the Kerch Bridge and the Novorossiysk highway. These key corridors linking Crimea to Russia have come under attack, causing major disruptions to logistics on the peninsula.

The Kerch Bridge has been struck three times, with two of those attacks causing severe damage. As a result, the bridge is no longer fully operational. Additionally, the ferry crossing between Crimea and Russia has been effectively destroyed, further complicating supply movements. The main land route out of Crimea is now under fire control by Ukrainian forces. This has triggered a collapse in Crimea's tourism sector, with roughly 40% of booked tours being canceled.

Refat Chubarov: 'Indeed, the most vulnerable spot for the Russian occupiers has been found.'

Chubarov noted that the Kerch Bridge was hit three times, and 'two strikes were very significant.' He added that 'the ferry crossing is also practically destroyed,' and now 'this highway remains, and it has been taken under fire control by Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.'

Chubarov also pointed out that 'the destruction of all these bridges and crossings, along with taking control of the highway, has led to a fuel crisis.' He estimates that at least one million illegally residing Russian citizens are currently in Crimea. He further remarked that 'this bridge still holds a kind of sacred, supposedly symbolic meaning for many Russian citizens, instilled in them.'

Impact on the Situation in Crimea

These developments highlight the growing pressure on Russian logistics chains in the region and threaten the effectiveness of their military operations. The situation in Crimea remains tense, and further actions by Ukrainian forces could worsen the position of the Russian occupiers.

The identified vulnerabilities in Russia's Crimean logistics underscore the strategic importance of controlling key transport routes. The destruction of the Kerch Bridge and the compromised ferry crossing could have long-term consequences for the occupation administration, affecting resource supplies and overall military readiness. This may also fuel growing discontent among Crimea's population, who are feeling the effects of the crisis.
