On October 12, 2024, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, held a monthly meeting with the commanders of unmanned systems units via videoconference. He announced this on social media.
During the meeting, the Commander of the Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, presented a report on the formation of units and the results of the use of drones in combat conditions. Heads of structural divisions of the Armed Forces reported on the development of the capabilities of unmanned aviation complexes.
Oleksandr Syrskyi outlined tasks to accelerate the development of this type of force, increase the number of unmanned systems units, and implement advanced technologies. He also noted the positive dynamics in targeting and destroying enemy targets with drones, expressing gratitude to the military for their resilience and bravery. He also expressed gratitude to those who develop, manufacture, and deliver drones to the army, especially highlighting the work on training UAV operators. He emphasized the importance of further joint efforts for the development of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
