Syrskyi explained how Russia has strengthened its army this year.
According to the words of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the number of Russian troops in Ukraine has increased by 100 thousand this year. He also noted that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has reached a technological level where one can speak of confrontation both in terms of technology and military strength. The general added that this significantly impacts the tactics of troop deployment on the battlefield. The main goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to inflict maximum losses on the enemy and destroy its military potential.
Currently, the Pokrovskyi and Kurakivskyi directions on the front are the most challenging. The occupiers have also intensified pressure on the Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Vremivsk directions. Russian troops recently continued offensive operations on December 16 and 17 and advanced in northern Toretsk.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that the newly elected US President Donald Trump wants to quickly resolve the war issue in Ukraine, even though he knows that Ukraine does not wish to capitulate or freeze the conflict.
