Fierce battles continue near Huliaipole: the Armed Forces of Ukraine deny information about encirclement.
According to ТСН: The situation in the Huliaipole direction remains extremely complicated. Violent combat actions continue, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces around Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region are not encircled.
This was reported by the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"Fierce battles are taking place for every meter of our native land. The situation in the direction is indeed complicated, but there is no encirclement. Communication with our fighters is maintained, logistics have been established, and the evacuation of the wounded is underway."
According to information received, data on so-called "blocking detachments" that are blocking Ukrainian units turned out to be credible. However,
"assault units have been sent to reinforce them and are helping to hold the defense".
Active combat actions
In this section of the front, Russian troops are conducting active assault actions, increasing the number of artillery shelling and the use of kamikaze drones. Over the past day, more than 30 assaults, over half a thousand artillery shellings, during which more than 2,100 shells were used, a dozen airstrikes, 250 drops from UAVs, and attacks by nearly 2,000 kamikaze drones were recorded.
The Ukrainian defenders have an organized response to the Russian offensive. Daily, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy from 250 to 300 occupiers and over 50 units of weapons and military equipment.
The military command notes that
"it promptly reacts to any changes in the situation and makes balanced decisions: if resources are available - to hold the defense and protect Ukrainian territory, if not - to save the lives of personnel by withdrawing to more advantageous positions".
Enemy regrouping
Recently, ISW analysts indicated that the RF army is trying to isolate Huliaipole from the north and continues its advance on the city from the northeast and east. Geolocation videos show that RF troops recently seized Vesele, located east of Huliaipole.
Military expert Serhiy Bratchuk reported that there has been regrouping of Russian forces near Huliaipole. The enemy is trying to use a semi-encirclement tactic, creating "pockets" to bypass settlements instead of frontal attacks, which are extremely risky for them.
The situation in the Huliaipole direction really requires close attention. Fighting for this region continues, and each day brings new challenges for the Ukrainian forces. It is now important not only to hold positions but also to effectively respond to changes in the enemy's tactics so as not to give them the opportunity to occupy advantageous positions.
