Deterioration of weather in Ukraine: rain, snow and strong winds
In the coming days, the weather in Ukraine is expected to worsen significantly. According to the State Emergency Service, from November 21 to 23, rain and snow are expected in most regions, as well as wind gusts of 15-20 m/s. On November 24, significant rain and snow are also forecasted in the eastern regions.
In the Carpathian Mountains, heavy snowfalls are expected, with wind speeds reaching 25-30 m/s. Overall, except for the southern part of Ukraine, a snow cover of 3 to 15 cm is anticipated (in the Carpathians - from 20 to 50 cm). Icy conditions are possible on the roads, as well as wet snow sticking.
The State Emergency Service has urged pedestrians and drivers to be especially careful and to avoid long-distance travel during these days.
It should be noted that on November 12 and 13, the first snow has already fallen in several regions of Ukraine. Residents of Zhytomyr and Lviv regions are actively sharing photos and videos of snow-covered streets.
In case of icy conditions, the State Emergency Service reminded drivers to adhere to speed limits, maintain distance, and avoid risky maneuvers that could lead to emergency situations.
It is also worth mentioning that on November 3, bad weather already hit Kharkiv. According to forecaster Natalia Didenko, the snow fell in a wet form and quickly melted. Local residents are actively posting videos of the bad weather.
