Syrskiy on the Situation in the Pokrovsk Direction: Russian Army Suffering Huge Losses.

According to ТСН: The Pokrovsk direction remains the main focus of hostilities. Russian forces continue to throw in additional reserves, trying to break through Ukrainian defenses through constant assaults and infiltration attempts.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskiy reported on the operational situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration.

Control Over Cities

Syrskiy confirmed that, despite the intense pressure, Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions.

“Our troops are making every effort to stop the enemy's advance and destroy its personnel and equipment. The northern part of Pokrovsk is under our control. We are stopping the enemy in Myrnohrad. We are conducting active defense,” the commander stated.

Logistics Decisions

The general, working directly in the military units, listened to reports from commanders and defined specific steps to strengthen defense. Special attention was paid to logistics, which is critically important under conditions of intense fighting.

According to Syrskiy, it is about ensuring the uninterrupted operation of routes that “directly affect the supply of ammunition and reinforcements for our warriors.”

Enemy Tactics and the Heroism of Defenders

The occupiers continue to increase pressure despite their losses. Around 50 combat clashes occur daily in this area.

“Fighting in this direction is characterized by high dynamics and intensity, however, our soldiers act decisively and professionally… I sincerely thank the soldiers, sergeants, and officers — it is thanks to you that the enemy is suffering enormous losses, and it is because of you that Ukrainian Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are standing,” Syrskiy summarized.

It is also worth noting that Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad have been under operational encirclement for three months now. The defensive operation in this area continues, despite the difficult situation on the flanks and limited logistics.

In these conditions, it is important to maintain the combat capability of Ukrainian forces and provide them with everything necessary. The events in the Pokrovsk direction have strategic significance, as the fate of not only this region but also the overall situation in the area is being decided here.
