Scholz made a loud statement about the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
The Chancellor of Germany is against the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine
In his election speech, Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz condemned the idea of transferring German long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Scholz believes this threatens the security of Germany. He criticized former Finance Minister Christian Lindner, who proposed transferring these missiles to Ukraine, considering it too risky an idea. The Chancellor also accused Lindner and his party of sabotaging the government's work for several months.
Scholz confidently stated that he remains opposed to the use of Taurus missiles against Ukraine, while his opponent Friedrich Merz, representing the Christian Democratic Union, supports the transfer of these missiles. However, the Chancellor has repeatedly asserted that supplying such weapons threatens to pull Germany into the war, despite Defense Minister Boris Pistorius believing this will not change the situation in Ukraine.
Germany will transfer another 17 Iris-T rocket systems to Ukraine
The Chancellor of Germany also announced the transfer of another 17 Iris-T rocket systems to Ukraine, which will be used for defense. He noted that 7 systems have already been delivered to the Ukrainian army, which helped shoot down Russian missiles and drones. Additionally, Germany has ordered another 22 systems, 17 of which will be transferred to Ukraine. This decision has the support of the majority of German lawmakers.
The German government has developed an action plan in case of war

This plan, known as the 'Framework Directive on General Defense', outlines steps that need to be taken in the event of military conflict.
