The Director of the Louvre reported that the only camera monitoring the area where the thieves entered the museum was pointed in the wrong direction. The audacious theft occurred when a gang of criminals climbed in from the side of the world's busiest gallery before opening a window and stealing crown jewels worth 102 million dollars.“We didn’t foresee this, and our systems and security measures need improvement,”- noted the museum director.
