Climate Disasters in Spain
According to The Sun: Spain has once again experienced massive flooding: streets of localities were submerged after horrific downpours. Dramatic footage shows locals seeking refuge from the storm — powerful storms have hit Barcelona and the Balearic Islands.
Due to severe thunderstorms, several airports were closed due to lightning strikes and strong winds. Residents of Catalonia received warnings about dangerous weather:
“The situation continues to be dangerous, and we urge everyone to be cautious,”– local meteorologists noted.
These extreme weather events highlight the growing issues related to climate change, which are becoming increasingly pronounced in various regions of the world. Spain is no exception, and the population must be prepared for new challenges that may arise due to worsening climate conditions.
