An American official confirmed that President's representative Steve Vitkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner are heading to Germany for negotiations involving Ukrainian and European representatives.

“The decision to send Vitkoff, who led negotiations with Ukraine and Russia on the US peace proposal, seems to signal that Washington sees a chance for progress after nearly four years of war since Russia's invasion in 2022.”

The summit will be the last public demonstration of support for Ukraine from European allies. Kyiv opposes proposals that include territorial concessions, limitations on military forces, and abandoning NATO aspirations.
