The USA has allocated 200 million dollars to Ukraine for military aid: what will be included in the packages.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the United States agreed to sell Ukraine secure assistance worth more than 200 million dollars. This decision was reached after discussions between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump.
Ukraine's partners will pay for the aid packages from the USA
The received assistance is part of the Foreign Military Sales program, and its funding will be fully covered by the country's partners.
The first package provides for the allocation of 104 million dollars for the maintenance, repair, and provision of M777 howitzers, which are widely used at the front. This is to ensure sustained support for artillery systems to maintain their combat readiness.
The second package, amounting to 99.5 million dollars, includes logistical support - transportation, cargo consolidation, and other services for the effective provision of security assistance programs.
We thank the President of the United States, the US Secretary of Defense, and the American people for their consistent support of Ukraine. This is an extremely important contribution to saving lives and lasting peace in Europe.
Shmyhal stated.
Recall that earlier Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine would receive two more Patriot air defense systems. Denys Shmyhal also explained the accelerated transfer of necessary weapons to Ukraine.
At the same time, the Scandinavian countries agreed to finance another package of assistance for Ukraine.
It has been reported that the USA has agreed to sell secure assistance to Ukraine worth more than 200 million dollars, which will be co-financed by partners from Ukraine. This is another step towards strengthening the country's defense capabilities and stabilizing the situation in Europe.Read also
