Zelensky asks Trump for over 15 years of security guarantees: what will be discussed.

According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed hope for reaching an agreement with US President Donald Trump regarding a longer duration of the security guarantees agreement.

In a comment to the American publication Axios, the Ukrainian leader noted that there are some "technical details" left in the documents regarding security guarantees for further discussion.

Duration of the agreement

One of the most important issues is the duration of the agreement. The US proposed a 15-year agreement with the possibility of renewal.

"I think we need more than 15 years," Zelensky stated.

The President of Ukraine believes that if Trump agrees to this, it will be a "great success" during their meeting.

Zelensky also confirmed that both the United States and Ukraine will submit security guarantees for ratification to their legislative bodies.

It should be noted that it was previously mentioned that during the meeting between Zelensky and Trump, the discussion of several documents regarding security guarantees for Ukraine is planned.

These negotiations between Ukraine and the USA are an important step in strengthening bilateral relations and ensuring stability in the region.
