The USA approved the sale of ERAM missiles to Ukraine.
The US Department of State has approved a deal with Ukraine for the supply of ERAM aviation-guided munitions and related equipment worth $825 million, reports 'Glavkom'.
Structure of the deal
According to inkorr.com: This deal includes the procurement of 3350 ERAM missiles, as well as the same number of GPS/INS navigation systems with the SAASM module, which improves targeting accuracy. It will also include transportation containers, launchers, spare parts, management software, and other necessary equipment.
Security and funding
The US Department of State emphasized that this sale is part of the foreign policy of the United States and helps to strengthen national security interests by providing Ukraine with technologies for effective defense. The funding of the contract will be provided by Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and also through the FMF program from the USA.
