According to Novyny.live: A joint mine safety initiative between Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (DSNS) and the creators of the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has become the most decorated creative project of the 2026 season in Ukraine. The campaign earned 28 professional awards, setting a new yearly record for the highest number of honors. This effort was carried out in collaboration with UNICEF Ukraine and the agency Rockets, both of which contributed to its success.

The project, titled Anomalous Collaboration, gained recognition at Ukrainian Creative Stories 2026, where it made the shortlist 40 times out of 51 entries. At the Kyiv International Advertising Festival, it received the Grand Prix, two Best of Contest distinctions, along with four gold, silver, and bronze awards. These accolades highlight the campaign’s creativity and effectiveness in raising awareness about landmine dangers.

Ukraine is considered one of the most mine-contaminated countries in the world, making this initiative critically important. Teenagers aged 14 to 17 are particularly at risk, as they may engage in dangerous behavior when encountering explosive devices. This underscores the urgent need for proactive educational efforts targeting young people to prevent accidents.

In March 2026, GSC Game World announced the first major story expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, titled 'The Price of Hope.' The DLC is scheduled for release in summer on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Notably, Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has designated the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World as an 'undesirable organization' within the Russian Federation.
