Russia's Bet on Artillery in the War Against Ukraine Left It Without Ammunition — Military Expert.
The Russian Federation Army's bet on the active use of artillery systems in the first stage of the war, which the Kremlin initiated against Ukraine, led to the depletion of ammunition in the aggressor country.
This was reported on the FREEДОМ channel by military expert Vladislav Seleznev.
"The Russians were absolutely sure that with the help of a barrage of fire and active use of artillery systems, they would be able to break through our defense. Therefore, the use within a day during the first stage of the full-scale war by the enemy of shells in the amount of 20, 40, and even 60 thousand shells per day, essentially yielded results. The Russians have exhausted those very stocks of artillery ammunition," he said.
The military expert noted that in such a situation, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is forced to ask for help from Iran and North Korea in order to at least receive some compensatory part of the artillery ammunition.
"Yes, he receives them. What exactly this adds, as a rule, remains outside public discussion, but the fact that Russia is forced to sacrifice, including its knowledge and resources in the field of nuclear technology, is obvious. Certainly, this does not increase the security of our planet, but unfortunately, our Western partners play a very cautious role in this sense. And when we talk about the fact that uniting efforts can radically change the situation on the battlefield, unfortunately, this does not yet concern our communications with Western partners. They take a waiting position, which undoubtedly does not contribute to the strengthening of the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian army," said Seleznev.
