Interceptor Drones

Russia plans to produce up to a thousand drones daily for use on the territory of Ukraine. To address this issue, the Mykolaiv region is considering the possibility of using interceptor drones, which will be controlled by artificial intelligence.

Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military-Civil Administration, shared this in an exclusive interview with News.LIVE.

Recently, Russian drones have been increasingly flying over Mykolaiv region in transit, and it is in this region that they are often shot down before reaching their targets. However, according to Vitaliy Kim, the Russian plans involve launching 1000-2000 drones across the entire territory of Ukraine.

Mykolaiv region is preparing to respond to this large-scale use of interceptor drones, which have already shown their effectiveness. To improve their quality, the military is working on using artificial intelligence for targeting.

'We definitely have plans to have the same number of cheaper means of destruction. Drones are very effective in this, and we are currently on the path of using artificial intelligence for targeting, and this is already partially being used, with accuracy expected to increase significantly when artificial intelligence is fully operational.'
— said the head of the Mykolaiv OVA, Vitaliy Kim.

We remind you that recently we wrote about the drone strike on Mykolaiv. We also mentioned the process of restoring the region after the shelling by the Russian Federation.

Summary: Russia plans to produce a large number of drones daily for use in Ukraine, which poses a threat. In response, the Mykolaiv region is actively developing interceptor drones using artificial intelligence, which could become an effective means of combating enemy drones.
